Staff

It is our employees – individually and together – who make us strong.  Employees are encouraged to express their views and opinions – and management encouraged to listen and respond.  To maintain high standards all employees are encouraged to attend relevant training and education programmes.

Our residents are cared for by a team of Nurses who are qualified professionals (registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council) led by Ruth Wilson our Assistant Manager with almost 30 years experience in both nursing and management.

Along with our Nursing Staff we have a team of Health Care Assistants and Care Assistants who are dedicated to looking after your needs. An Activities co-ordinator is employed who will organise events throughout the week.

During your stay at Richmond Nursing Home you will be assigned a Nurse/Care Assistant who will have particular responsibility for your care.

Meals are prepared in our kitchen by Chef Kieran Moore and Assistant Ellen Bratherton.  All our meat, fish, poultry and vegetables are obtained fresh from local suppliers and we provide a varied menu to cater for all tastes. Special diets are catered for.

In addition to the staff at Richmond Nursing Home we have a number of professionals available for care and support as necessary.  These include Physiotherapists, Opticians, Care Managers, Dentists and Chiropodists.
