Our Commitment
Residents In Our Home Shall Have The Right:
· To retain their personal dignity and independence irrespective of the severity of their physical mental infirmity.
· To have skilled sensitive nursing care to enable them to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
· To have their social, emotional, religious, cultural and political needs accepted and respected.
· To have their personal privacy respected.
· To be consulted about daily living arrangements in the Home, and to participate in discussions about any proposed changes to those arrangements.
· To be fully involved in and fully informed about their individual assessment of need.
· To make informed choices about their future personal care plans.
· To have a regular review of their individual circumstances, at which they have the right to be present.
· To be fully informed about the services provided by the Home and the Department – Supplementary Benefit (Income Support), Attendance Allowances etc.
· To choose their own medical practitioner and dentist to consult them in private.
· To manage their own financial and personal affairs.
· To not be moved without consultation.
· To have access to a formal complaints procedure.
· All long stay residents should be placed on the electoral register and given the opportunity to vote by post where necessary.
